The obvious statement piece of this outfit is the dress, I'm totally obsessed with the colour and I love the ribbed, velvet finish. When this dress first arrived in the mail we had a few issues. I nearly had to break up with it and send it back. This dress was obviously made for a very tall human being, and I do not fit that brief. It was all okay though, 2 easy steps and it was saved. Step 1: Fold the high neck in half, this was incredibly important as it originally sat way too high up, so I turned into a no neck monster. Step 2: Add a belt and tuck up any extra material, this not only brought the length from awkward to doable, but it also allowed me to hide the extra fabric at the hips of the dress. All in all a win! It did help that this belt is a total hit in my eyes, and I'll use any excuse to add it to an outfit. I started out with these amazing earrings from Dissh Boutiques, as awesome as they are I decided it was too much hecticness with the dress, it was just too much statement (if that's even possible). So I decided to ditch the earrings to turn it down lil bit. Now classic Tessa, of course I had to add a knee high boot. I did change it up with some leather though, just to edge up the look even more. These babies are perfect, and they are stretch at the back making them super comfy.
Unfortunately I'm going to have to say goodbye, so that I can bury myself back into the hole that is university. I will talk to ya'll later.
Lots of Love,
