Hello boys and girls,
I am so sorry that I didn't manage to get a blog post up last week, 3 exams in 4 days did not treat me well. I can happily announce that I will be on holidays until the 24th of August so my posts will be regular again. I feel like I have had a little peak of good luck recently, I called my sister the other day to let her in on some exciting news and she said 'I swear every time you call me you've got something epic happening.' So the life of Tessa is currently on track. This week has been dedicated to getting my life back together after 2 weeks of focusing purely on study. Other than my newly found freedom, I don't particularly have anything exciting to update you all on currently, so I'll just jump straight into the fashion.
The star of the show...this denim jacket. It is of course from ma favs Princess Polly. This arrived 3 days before the shoot and I was so desperate to get it customised, that I kid you not, I called 10 different embroidery places who all turned me down, saying that they couldn't possibly get it done in time. After completely giving up hope I was sharing my disappointing story with a friend of mine and she was like hold up, this chick is amazing. She gave me directions to a place in Kenmore called Dandy Embroidery, 10 minutes later I was handing over my jacket and promised a 24 hour turn around at the latest. Considering every other place I had tried was telling me a minimum of 10 working days I was stoked. It is safe to say that it turned out fabulously too. So I am now the proud owner of 3 denim jackets, 2 of which have my name on the back of them.
I kept everything else fairly minimal, I really wanted the jacket to be the feature. I usually build my outfits off one key item and match it with things I already have in my wardrobe. These shorts are also a recent addition. They are vintage Levi's and are so comfy, I bought a size bigger than I usually would for maximum comfort, and I practically live in them, yes I'm in denial that it is winter in Brisbane. Bringing the whole look together I added a nude bralette to match the nude shoes, and a delicate layered choker (trend alert).
Well that is all from me folks, I'll check in with you next week. In the mean time don't forget to follow my socials for more regular updates.
